| Background | Fiber-1 is one of two fiber proteins encoded by pigeon adenovirus 1 (PiAdV-1), a member of the genus Aviadenovirus. Adenoviral fibers project from the penton base at capsid vertices and form part of the virion surface architecture. PiAdV-1 Fiber-1 is encoded separately from Fiber-2 and is a defined viral antigen for studies of viral protein expression and antigen recognition. |
