| Background | Fiber-2 is the second fiber protein encoded by pigeon adenovirus 1 (PiAdV-1). The PiAdV-1 reference genome contains distinct fiber-1 and fiber-2 coding regions. Fiber-2 sequence analysis has been used to characterize PiAdV-1 isolates and their genetic relationships. As a viral fiber antigen, it is relevant to studies of PiAdV-1 protein expression and antigenic variation. |
