|Storage instruction||For continuous use, store undiluted antibody at 2-8°C for up to a week. For long-term storage, aliquot and store at -20°C. Storage in frost free freezers is not recommended. Keep the antibody in the dark and keep protected from prolonged exposure to light. Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles. Suggest spin the vial prior to opening. The antibody solution should be gently mixed before use.|

|Background||Human beta 2 microglobulin (B2MG) is a component of major histocompatibility complex 1 (MHC1). It is abundant at the surface of lymphocytes and exists at the surface of all cell types except red cells. B2MG is normally filtered out of blood through glomeruli, but the process is impaired in patients with renal diseases. Elevated B2MG levels are implicated with lymphoma, multiple myeloma, renal diseases, viral infections and auto-immune conditions.|
