Mitochondrial Biogenesis Antibody Panel for your research

Mitochondrial Biogenesis Antibody Panel for your research

Mitochondria are essential for cellular energy metabolism. The PGC-1α/NRF1/TFAM axis is a central pathway regulating mitochondrial biogenesis. PGC-1α acts as a master regulator, coactivating NRF1 to induce the expression of TFAM, which promotes mitochondrial DNA (mtDNA) transcription and replication, leading to creation of new mitochondria and enhanced cellular energy production.

Diagram of PGC-1alpha signaling pathway for mitochondrial biogenesis, showing upstream regulators SIRT1 (NAD+/NADH), AMPK (AMP/ATP), CaMKII (Ca2+), and p38 activating PGC-1alpha, which co-activates NRF1 to induce TFAM expression and ERRalpha/gamma to drive OXPHOS gene transcription.

arigo offers Mitochondrial Biogenesis Antibody Panel that includes antibodies against key components of this pathway, supporting the investigation of mitochondria and energy metabolism.

PGC-1α activators

PGC-1α is activated through post-translational modifications mediated by AMPK, SIRT1, and p38 MAPK. AMPK responds to low-energy conditions, SIRT1 activates PGC-1α by deacetylation, and p38 MAPK enhances its stability. arigo offers quality antibodies to support the research into the regulatory mechanisms of PGC-1α.

Transcription Factors coactivated by PGC-1α

PGC-1α acts as a transcriptional coactivator for multiple transcription factors, especially those controlling mitochondrial biogenesis and energy metabolism. PGC-1α coactivates NRF1/2 and ERRα/γ to promote mitochondrial biogenesis, PPARγ to regulate fatty acid oxidation, and HNF4α and FOXO1 to control hepatic gluconeogenesis. arigo offers quality antibodies to facilitate advanced research into PGC-1α-mediated gene expression.
